Ahhh you’ve mentioned so many of my favorites that I’ve probably watched at least once a year! I need to revisit Never Been Kisses.

I am a rom com girl. A romantic. A lover of love stories, especially real ones. Got one of my own. Italian boy meets New York girl on a Caribbean island in 1995... Still have to pinch myself. 90's and before nostalgic. My heart hurts that they don't make them like they used to and that so few romantic commedies are made today. I believe it is a true sign of society's downfall. And I am grateful that I can watch these fall in love, EASY movies over and over again and pass them onto my 2 daughters. A little more EASY feels like what the world needs. Btw if I had to choose, Pretty Woman, Say Anything, and Jerry Maguire are my favorites. Thanks Dan, for sharing this love.🙏❤️

Love this! And especially love that you mentioned two Cameron Crowe movies, Say Anything and Jerry Maguire. He's a real hero to me.

I am not sure if this one comes under the 90s movies. But I personally, loved “Out of Africa”. I loved the slow and cozy style of it. It was almost like reading a novel. And Meryl Streep’s performance as always is a masterclass in acting.

I'm a big fan of a great rom-com. I posted a note the other night whilst watching Notting Hill, one of those films I'll always watch when it's on TV. As a Brit, the 90s was the peak, but there have been a few since. I loved About Time as a concept and a story. I also like that you've included Woody Allen here. One of his 2000s movies, Midnight In Paris, is another comfort film for me. Not sure if it fits the bill as a traditional Rom-Com, but certainly has many of the elements. Great piece, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Nick! I love 'About Time'. Had an extra layer to it beyond Curtis's previous comedies.

Glad to hear you liked the Woody references. I almost deleted any mention of him, wondering if we're allowed to utter the name Woody Allen anymore. But his work is so influential and important that it seems silly not to.
